Fenland born and raised, Grant was born in Huntingdon and raised in March, near Ely. Grant’s interest in engineering begun whilst at Michell Instruments and studying electronics.

After leaving school, Grant initially studied plumbing at the College of West Anglia in Wisbech but decided against plumbing as a career. After joining Michell Instruments, initially as a final prep technician, Grant learned more about sensors; how to build them for packing and creating all the correct certificates and documentation for them. He then learned how to calibrate the sensors and run the different types of software. His interest in electrical engineering increased further during his time studying Electronics and Electrical Engineering at Peterborough College.

After being promoted to the role of Internal Service Engineer, Grant was able to combine his technical skills with customer service before then moving to Industrial Inject, based in Swavesey, as a Customer Support Technician. It was there that Grant continued building on his customer service skills offering support and training with printers that he also helped to prepare and ship around the world

Grant joined Nexus-IE, part of The Innomech Group in May 2017 as a Service Engineer, where he has been developing an understanding of mechanical engineering concepts to add to his electrical background.

A keen amateur sportsman, Grant enjoys boxing and plays football for his local team Doddington FC. Grant and his partner are looking forward to starting a family; exciting times.
